FemiSapien’s Not Your Average Girl Robot

WowWee’s newest addition to their line of robots is a female robot. The WowWee FemiSapien Humanoid Robot is a dully interactive dancing robot and has the most life-like movements as compared to any other robot manufactured by WowWee. This female robot has her very own language that consists of emotive sounds and it can also sense different gestures that you make. It responds to sounds, and will actually respond to your touch as well. It has the unique ability to interact with and control other robots made by WowWee.

A one-woman wonder WowWee announced this toy in January 2008, and slated it for a late summer release date. It should be a quick success, as there are very few robotic toys that can do what this one can do. There are three distinctive kinds of behavior for this little lady and it can show what she is truly capable of.

Attentive:Femisapien will see, hear, wander and dance interactively

Learning:You can create a dance routine for the robot that it will play back

Responsive:The dance routine is performed

Any of these behaviors can be accessed just by tilting her head. You can use her hands just like you would use joysticks. When you touch her hands, you’ll alter her movements. Her specialty is the ability to do an astounding 20 interactive routines as well as 36 different functions.

WowWee has really outdone themselves this time. With five different motors that allow for twelve degees of free movement, WowWee FemiSapien Humanoid Robot is very sophisticated in her walking movements, as well as other gestures. She has five different motors that allow for twelve degrees of free movement. She is controllable by sound, sight or touch and can detect music player. She will start to dance in time to the beat. You can create a dance routine and she will dance her little booty off! How to Build a Home Theater

Step 3:

Home theater receiver – a home theater receiver is the brain of a home theater, all the signals go to the receiver and get transferred to the different speaker devices. A home theater receiver provides power to the speakers and segregates it to make a surround sound through the different speakers. It provides all the input for all of your equipment.

Step 4:

Speakers – now, the speakers are one of the main components of your home theater. It’s a must that you have 4 – 5 speakers to make surround sound. It is advisable to get 5.1 or 6.1 series speakers. Depending on your budget you can get a small speaker or a big one, you just need to take note of its capacity to deliver sound. On the other hand you can use a subwoofer, which will make the sound more precise and give added volume and more quality of bass volume.

Step 5:

VCD or DVD players – using a DVD or a VCD device is the most popular way to watch movies using a home theater. Choose a DVD or a VCD player with compatible ports for the television and the home theater receiver. An HD-DVD player is the most high end player today, and it uses Blu-ray DVDs to play movies in a very high quality.

Step 6:

Multimedia players, CD players and Turntables - you will probably want to listen to music or play your favorite collections on your home theater system, and you can connect these gadgets to the home theater receiver and listen to them while relaxing.

There has been a hectic debate on this topic: how to prevent the people  from using mobile phones, while driving their vehicles.

 

When the mobile phone companies proliferated,people from all walks of life began to use mobile phones and their usage of mobile phones also increased by leaps and bounds. Thanks to the concessions in tariff and the ultra-modern facilities like camera, music, FM radio and the services like internet etc, offered by the mobile phone companies vying with each other.

 

The mobile phones being handy and easy to carry with, besides enabling you to communicate effectively with other people wherever you go, people have begun to use them increasingly.

 

In fact the increasing use of mobile phones by the people, even forced them to surrender their land line connections. In a recent survey undertaken by the BSNL in India, more than 20 % land line connections have been surrendered by the existing customers,who preferred to use their mobile phones.

 

The increasing use of mobile phones by the people has also created some problems from some unexpected quarters.

 

In their zeal to use the mobile phones, people have begun to use them even when they are on the move, while driving a two wheeler or a car or a van.

 

People used to, especially the youngsters, listen to the music by wearing a headphone of their mobile phone when they are on the move; Some people used to have a conversation through their mobile phone either by wearing a head phone or just by having their mobile phone on their ear. In the course of their conversation, they used to drive their vehicle one handed even in the midst of a heavy traffic exposing them to a great risk of an accident that may endanger their lives as well as the hapless people who are going nearby either by walk or in their own vehicle. In fact, these mobile phone users do not realize that a momentary lapse on their part is sufficient to cause a fatal accident endangering their lives as well as the other innocent people,besides causing a heavy damage to their vehicle.

 

Despite given repeated advice and issued warnings by the traffic police, either in person or through paper advertisements, the mobile phone users care a fig for them and continue to use them. Since the use of mobile phone by the people who are on the drive has become rampant, the Government has been in a dilemma for quite some time, how to stop them.

 

The traffic police people, unofficially used to confiscate the mobile phones of these mischief mongers or trouble makers and subsequently let them off by issuing a stern warning not to repeat such silly but grave mistakes in future.

 

However, in the absence of any effective law to prevent such mischief mongers, people on their drive continued to use it sporadically.

 

But realizing that it is their duty to provide a trouble free traffic besides ensuring the safety of the people who travel on the road, the Government of India has finally come forward with a proposal to amend the Motor Vehicles Act,1988.

 

According to the proposed amendments to be carried out in the Motor Vehicles act,1988,whose main purpose is to prevent the use of mobile phone by the people who are on their drive:-

 

1)Mobile phones should not be used by the people who are on the drive and it is a punishable offence;

 

2)Any one violating the provisions of this act, if found guilty, will be awarded with a punishment of six months imprisonment or will be imposed with a fine of Rs 2,000/- or both will be slapped on the offenders.

 

3)It is also proposed to cancel the driving license of the offenders.

 

The proposed amendments  to be introduced in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988,is a welcome step in the right direction and the Government has at last come forward with a concrete solution to a burning problem.

 

But the success of the proposed amendments to be introduced in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, depends upon its effective implementation.
